Gate Nº5 will close its green gates for good this spring
Announcement from Different Language:
"It's with mixed emotions that we announce Gate Nº5 will close its green gates for good this spring. The site has been taken over by a new business and unfortunately we are unable to carry on operations despite our best attempts. We are obviously gutted, Gate Nº5 had established itself as home to our Different Language parties and was set to host a variety of events during our big year of been the UK City of Culture.
We would like to send a huge thanks to all the staff, suppliers, local authorities, our fucking awesome residents!, promoters, DJs, agencies, clubbers and everybody else who have supported Gate No5 over the years. It's with enormous pride; we delivered the very best talent in one of the UKs most unique spaces. Artists such as Tobi Neumann, Guti, Cassy, Onur Ozer, Rossko, Martin Buttrich, Enzo Siragusa and Dana Ruh have done their thing in the old wharf building; and we also got a mention from Pete Tong on his Radio One show.
Is this the end of Different Language? Who knows..."
Different Language are to celebrate and say goodbye to one of Hull's unusual rave spaces on Easter Sunday. Early bird tickets are available online now for £8 at Resident Advisor.
