Biography
Different Language are an exciting DJ and Producing duo formed by Martin H and Rob Reims. Their style is a mix of Minimal Techno and deep underground house and they both share an immense passion for music, clubbing and DJing.
They’ve taken influences from DJs and producers such as Oxia, Adultnapper, Jamie Jones, Simon Baker and Marc Houle with record labels such as Cocoon, Sender, Minus Canada and Cross Town Rebels inspiring their work.
Different Language received excellent feedback from their first productions The Terrace and Shaking Upfront and have since worked on further productions including Polar Picnic, Sauberes Blatt and Lonely Cloud.
Different Language are also promoters and residents at their terrace parties at the Lamp in Hull. The bank holiday events are now Hull’s most original and biggest daytime parties. Attracting the likes of Dan Doran (Ritmo/Umbrella/Excentric) and Simon Baker (Playhouse/Infant) in 2007 and already have Hypercolour founders Alex Jones & Cedric Maison, Richard Seeley (veryverywrongindeed) and Jens Bond (Sender/Highgrade/Pokerflat) guesting in 2008.
Different Language also host a monthly party in the newly refurbished room two at Déjà Vu at the Welly Club. Guests in 2007 included The Nox (cako-bako) and Andrew Grant (circoloco).
Amongst promoting and producing in 2007, Different Language have guested at several events including the massive Déjà Vu bank holiday parties, East Park Rocks Festival, Cako-Bako (Leeds), Work Party (Hull), playing alongside the likes of Pete Gooding, Matt Cooper and Smokin’ Jo. 2008 see's Different Language appearing at *riffraff in Middlesborough, Hull Vibe Festival in Hull and the massive Secret Festival in Bedfordshire with Tim Sheridan, Mr C and many more.
